We look forward to welcoming you to the Eagle & Child Inn.We have 5 Cosy Bedrooms all boast en-suite facilities, two with bath and shower. We have twin or double rooms, as well as a family room. All are tastefully decorated to a high standard – Flat screen Tv & all with great views.
My wife and I particularly valued the overnight stay with you, which was most comfortable. It was marvellous having a view from our room over the fast-flowing River Kent and the hills beyond. Thank you for looking after us so well. You can count on our recommendation to our friends and fellow Rotarians in the future.
Imagine – A good hike up the valley, over to Troutbeck and back, sit by the fire with a couple of Bluebirds (beer that is). Then a juicy Kentmere lamb shank with perhaps a Refreshing Hawkshead or even a Wicked Jimmy if you prefer ! mebbes a Pilsner Urquell for the Continental types! – Either way a good bed to follow and a good Cumberland breakfast the next day – all prepared with the best local ingredients.

Sorry No Pets in our Accommodation – we do however have a designated room allocated for guide & assistance dogs – dogs are MOST welcome in our Bar area with a Biscuit & Water !!
